First Post

This is my first post. I'm interested to see how much I stick to this, since I'm notoriously awful at keeping a journal. Partly because everything I wrote tended to be sad or hard to read back. Having first realised this about two years ago, I promised to only write about the good things; or at least, not about the mundane everyday strops!

That way when I look back I will remember the good times, cherish the celebrations and smile as I remember. I won't ignore the sad times; but I will filter them out and only write about the truly meaningful times. They deserve to be remembered just as much as the good times, but at least I don't moan about "that cow from work"...

I started writing again in the run-up to the wedding, but I've currently misplaced my diary, so I'm at a loss. I never thought I'd say that about losing a diary, but I wanted to be able to record everything from these few months, before they fade into my past. The thoughts, the feelings, the emotions; all of it. You're only supposed to get married once, and I want to record it all so I never forget.

So here goes; I want this site to be an account of my life as a Lara. We get married on 4th July; just over three months from now. But I'll talk about that later!
